just ask wisdom of women something to think about
S.I.S.T.E.R.S. is a support for women as they discover and realize who they are in Jesus. Through women-centered bible studies, prayer meetings, fellowshipping opportunities, and other programs, women learn to ‘build their houses’ and help others to do the same. Any women who is feeling insecure, hurt, or who just has a desire to get connected with a loving group of friends. We extend an invitation to get involved to any woman, who is feeling insecure, hurt, or who just has a desire to connect with a loving group of friends.

We are sure you already know there is a meaning behind the name S.I.S.T.E.R.S. We are Sisters In Sync Teaching, Encouraging and Reaching Souls. As teachers, we are S.A.S., Sisters About Study. We have many classes focusing on the needs of women – such as parenting, relationships, life as a Christian woman, finances, maintaining a healthy and holy lifestyle and many, many more. All of the studies are fun, exciting, and, most importantly, based on the Word of God.
As encouragers, we are S.O.S., Sisters of Service. We believe that encouraging is not just speaking kind words, but putting action with the words. For example, we can provide meals for the family in the case of the loss of a loved one, give a baby shower or bridal shower, keep the kids for an evening to give a mom a break or sometimes just help clean a house. You would be surprised how uplifting these acts of kindness can be. We know that S.O.S. means "help!" But don't ask for the help, we offer it!

As we reach for souls, we are S.I.S., Soldiers in Skirts. One of the meanings of a solider is "a person who works zealously for a specific cause." This is the foundation of S.I.S.T.E.R.S. Our goal is to reach out and meet the needs of women, and not just inside the four walls of our church, but to reach beyond the four walls also. Race or class doesn't matter. You can live in a mansion or be homeless on the streets. There are no boundaries, we just reach!

The Eternal Solution

"Have you ever known a junkie? If you know anything about them, you probably know this. They seem to be regular, healthy, “normal" people doing fine. You wouldn't even know they knew a "drug lord." They'd never mention him, especially if they're around people who don't know him too. Then they need a fix, and all of a sudden everything changes. They will stop eating; won't listen to their family or friends; cry; they would even walk through a storm if they had to. They will act this way until they get their "fix." Then the routine starts over, and they'll be fine until they need their "drug lord" again.

Isn't it funny how so called Christians do that with Jesus? As long as everything is fine and going our way, we're happy. We don't go to church or pray or anything, and we sure don't mention Him around other who don't know Him. I mean, come on, as long as everything is going our way we don't need Jesus, right?

Then "boom," something happens that's too much for us and then it all changes. We stop eating (fasting); we won't listen to family or friends (forsaking all others); we cry (out to Jesus), some of us would even walk to church if we had to. We act this way until we get our "fix," then the routine starts over, and we're fine until we need Jesus again.

Please ask yourself, how do you treat Jesus? As your "drug lord" or JESUS CHRIST THE LORD!
Get to know Him better, He's more than a temporary fix! He is an Eternal Solution!!!!!!
